The Unit Coordinator acts as a vital caregiver and central hub, taking responsibility for patient care processes from newborn to geriatric while serving as the primary receptionist and secretary. Daily duties involve supporting safe patient care through multidisciplinary processes, coordinating unit activities, and efficiently managing information flow for the healthcare team.
Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, a proactive approach to daily operations, and a commitment to safe, therapeutic care alongside the healthcare team. Required qualifications include previous experience as a Unit Coordinator II/Tech or similar role in an acute care facility, or completion of a Nursing Assistant course and/or patient care experience, along with a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
