The role involves a broad reconstructive practice covering various procedures including breast reconstruction, post-weight-loss soft tissue removal, and reconstruction of facial defects in coordination with the surgical oncology team. Surgeons will also share call coverage evenly among the plastic surgery group, excluding hand call.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree and be Board Certified or Eligible in Plastic Surgery, along with current or obtainable licenses for the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Comfort and willingness to perform microsurgical cases, primarily DIEP flaps as part of a two-surgeon team, is expected, though a microvascular fellowship is preferred but not mandatory.

The starting annual salary for this position is $510,000 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
