The Occupational Therapist plans, administers, and documents medically prescribed therapy programs to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability for patients with various injuries or diseases. This involves reviewing prescriptions, testing patient capacity, developing comprehensive care plans, and implementing evidence-based treatments.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and compliance with all licensing/certification standards, including Basic Life Support. Preferred qualifications include a Master of Occupational Therapy and two years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist.
