The Anesthesiologist will assist in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department and will be responsible for the medical management of patients undergoing surgery or other procedures, ensuring they are rendered unconscious or insensible to pain and stress. Key duties include performing pre-anesthesia assessments, obtaining consent, discussing anesthetic options, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, and monitoring the patient's physiological condition.
Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine, along with ECFMG and FLEX completion. A mandatory requirement is the completion of an approved residency in anesthesia and current licensure as a physician.
