The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for providing direct care to assigned patients in an outpatient setting, participating in the plan of care, and implementing nursing interventions under the direction of an RN or MD. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, supporting surgical interventions, wound care, and documentation support across various dermatologic disciplines.
This full-time, day shift position requires flexibility in scheduling and assignments, involving work across multiple UR Medicine Dermatology practice locations, including Collegetown and occasionally Red Creek. Applicants must be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide quality care for complex dermatologic patients.
GENERAL PURPOSE: In an outpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD. Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication. Full time position available, days, requires flexible shifts and assignments. Exciting LPN position available with fast paced Dermatology practices in the greater Rochester area at College town will also occasionally go to the Red Creek office.. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, recording within the electronic medical record, patient prep for surgical interventions, administration of local anesthesia, wound care, pressure dressing’s, and physician documentation support across multiple dermatologic disciplines (general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, surgical dermatology) within all UR Medicine Dermatology practice locations. Applicants are expected to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Needs to work well in a team approach to provide quality care for complex dermatologic patients. Surgery experience a plus.
