The Residential Therapist obtains social history information to familiarize clinical staff and physicians with the patient's background and issues, while also acting as a liaison with the patient's family and referral sources. This role provides direct psychotherapy to patients in individual, family, and group settings and assists with utilization review for third-party payors.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling, along with an Indiana LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LSW license or be license eligible. One year of experience in a psychiatric setting with adolescents (ages 10-18) and working knowledge of DBT are preferred, with DBT certification required within six months of hire.
Education: Master's degree in social work, psychology or counseling required.
