PD Staff RN - ED

• Overview This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner.
• Responsibilities include directingPCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching ofpatients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation.
• Integration of patient carestandards are incorporated into all clinical activities.This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim RegionalMedical Center.
• It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMCAnaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC Healthcare Inc.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCEGraduate of RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.One year acute care experience preferred.Basic computer skills preferred.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSCurrent CA RN licenseCurrent BLS-HCPCurrent ACLS (Excludes NICU)Current NRP (Labor & Delivery / OB Acute / NICU)Current PALS (Emergency Dept. only)Basic Dysrhythmia Class completion: Optional for RN with at least 6 months experience, and successful completion ofEKG competency examUnit specific certification: Emergency: PALSNIH CertificationManagement of Assaultive Behavior 2Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferredEmergency Nursing Course preferredJOB DESCRIPTION &COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT TOOL 1 For New Graduate/RN New to the Specialty
