The Respite Worker provides intermittent, scheduled, temporary care and supervision for clients with developmental disabilities residing with family members or caregivers to help maintain family stability. Essential duties include following care instructions, assisting with daily living activities like feeding and dressing, and ensuring client safety at all times.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED certificate and have two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, which can include caring for a family member. Additional requirements include maintaining current CPR and First Aid certifications, passing a clear security clearance, and possessing a valid driver's license.
The Respite worker will provide intermittent, regular scheduled, temporary care, and or supervision for a mutual client of Inland Regional Center and United Cerebral Palsy who resides with a family member or care provider.

This position requires community driving and visiting families in a variety of home settings.
This job requires daily travel to the client’s home; note travel will not exceed 40 miles unless approved by the Respite Program Manager. REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma, GED certificate
2. 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (experience can be caring for a family member with a disability)
3. Strong written and oral communication skills
4. Computer proficient ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
1. CPR & First Aid Certification
2. Clean TB test every 3 years
3. Valid Driver’s License
1. Clear security clearance (fingerprint live scan) through the FBI and DOJ.
2. Legally eligible to work in the U.S.A.
