Certified Nursing Assistants perform essential patient services including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care, while also participating in hourly rounds. They are responsible for transporting patients, maintaining cleanliness of equipment, keeping rooms orderly, and managing unit supply levels.
include a high school diploma/GED or three years of relevant work experience, and BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire. Candidates must possess CNA licensure and ideally have hospital experience or related experience such as being a medical assistant or actively enrolled RN student.
Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair Participate in hourly rounds Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed Performs other duties as assigned
High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years) BLS is required within 90 days of hire CNA licensure from the state registry Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
