The Physician Assistant will perform comprehensive patient evaluations, assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room as first assist, and manage preoperative and postoperative care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Responsibilities also include conducting inpatient rounds, providing outpatient follow-up, ordering diagnostics, and performing procedures like joint injections and casting.
Candidates must graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program and possess active PA Certification by the NCCPA, a Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, and current ACLS/BLS certification. Clinical working experience in the specialty is preferred but not required for eligibility.
