The technologist evaluates and assesses patients to establish functional goals, providing treatment according to a written plan of care to meet those goals. They are also responsible for planning discharge, communicating progress, and potentially supervising clinical students and support staff.
Minimum requirements include completion of an accredited Radiology Technology Program and registration with ARRT(R), along with demonstrating a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and the ability to follow instructions. Preferred qualifications include one year of clinical experience and an Associate's degree in a related field.
Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
1 year experience in a clinical setting.
Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R).
Preferred/Desired: Associates degree in related field
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work.
ARRT (R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
