This role involves greeting and assisting outpatients, efficiently handling phone calls, and accurately registering patients in the system, including collecting financial information and authorizations. Essential duties also include performing phlebotomy and EKG exams while ensuring patient satisfaction and flow.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include completion of a Phlebotomy Training Program or relevant healthcare registration experience, and successful completion of on-the-job phlebotomy training if not already certified.
Greets, assists patients, and directs phone calls to the proper area in a professional, efficient manner. Registration of patients using established procedures to initiate medical record, patient accounting, and enters orders into Meditech. All registration processes to be completed with a high degree of accuracy with special attention to the collections of financial information, authorizations and referrals if required and other related requirements. Performs phlebotomy and EKG exams.
