The Physical Therapist Assistant will implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, providing direct patient care including exercises and manual therapy, while accurately documenting progress. Responsibilities also include educating patients and families on treatment protocols and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
Candidates must possess an Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program and hold a valid state license or be license eligible as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Required skills include strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities, excellent communication, and proficiency with therapy equipment and EHR systems.
Patient Care: Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists. Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications. Treatment and Education: Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Work closely with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
Education: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
