The role involves providing comprehensive advanced emergency care by formulating treatment plans based on patient assessment, history, examination, and diagnostic data. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality emergency care, collaborating with physicians, directing ancillary staff, and accurately documenting findings and plans in the medical record.
Candidates must possess a current RN license in Ohio (if NP) and a Master's Degree in Nursing, or be a Physician Assistant, with national certification required for either role. A minimum of three years of Emergency Department nursing experience is preferred, along with maintaining ACLS and PALS certifications.

Provide comprehensive advanced emergency nursing care to patients by formulating a plan based on the assessment and data collected during the patient history, examination and applicable diagnostic procedures. Functions within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner as defined by the Advanced Nurse Practice Act, or if a Physician Assistant functions within the state/nationally-recognized scope of practice of the physician assistant.
