This position provides direct psychiatric care to offenders in outpatient facilities within the UTMB sector of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). Responsibilities include conducting examinations, providing clinical supervision, participating in legal proceedings, and handling emergency psychiatric calls.
Candidates must hold a current medical license from the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and be eligible for Board Certification in Psychiatry, along with a current DEA controlled substances registration certification. Two years of experience and experience with digital medical utilization are preferred.
