The Nurse Practitioner will provide compassionate and excellent patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations, while mentoring clinical personnel. require licensure as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island, a master’s degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program, and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner with current ARNP licensure in Rhode Island. Candidates must also have two years of related experience and current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.BASIC KNOWLEDGE:Graduation with a master’s degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program.Certified Family Nurse PractitionerCurrent licensure as an ARNP in the State of Rhode Island.Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)Knowledge of basic emergency department, internal medicine, generalist, occupational medicine, and family practice procedures required.Organizational and analytical skills necessary to maintain efficient workflow.Ability to adjust responsibilities to accommodate a fast-paced work environment while maintaining excellent customer service and staff interactions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously deal with patients and families, clients, coworkers, clinical staff and physicians.Progressive thinking for budget, training and quality issues.Strong leadership qualities.EXPERIENCE:Two years of related experience required. Prior experience as a medic or within an urgent care or emergency department setting preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Healthcare environment such as acute care hospital, physicians’ office and ancillary healthcare enterprises. Any hazards are minimized by adherence to established safety procedures and precautions.
