The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients of all ages, modifying the plan of care as needed, while also serving as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students. Responsibilities include designing appropriate plans of care, performing examinations, educating patients and families, and ensuring proper documentation and monitoring of support personnel.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days and a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) license within 90 days from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. The role requires demonstrating safe body mechanics, empathy, and the ability to perform patient transfers and establish evidence-based treatment plans.
