The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy, including selecting and using adaptive equipment, performing comprehensive treatment, and collaborating with the evaluating therapist on the plan of care. Responsibilities also include reporting patient progress, coordinating care with other personnel, documenting reports, and educating patients and families on treatment goals.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and hold a current Occupational Therapist Assistant License (OTA) from the State Licensing Board. Required qualifications also include CPR certification, a valid Driver's License with Auto Insurance, and at least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, with one year of Home Healthcare Experience being preferred.
