The role involves performing comprehensive patient care duties, including conducting history and physical examinations, documenting visits in the EMR, educating patients, and managing conditions through frequent follow-up. Responsibilities also include ordering tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing therapies, making necessary referrals, and collaborating with the medical and management teams on quality initiatives.
Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited Physician Assistant program and be registered with the NYS Department of Education, requiring three or more years of practicing experience as a PA. A proven ability to work in a team environment is necessary, and being bilingual in Spanish is a mandatory requirement.

Performing history and physical examinations Documenting visits in electronic medical record in a timely manner Educating patients on their health conditions in a way they can understand. Following up with patients more frequently for effective condition management. Utilizing your support team to complete standing orders Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments, developing treatment plans, prescribing drugs and other therapies as needed Making referrals as necessary, consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate.
