The Licensed Nursing Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, performing tasks within the scope of practice defined by the Vermont State Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge, participating in age-specific care, functioning as part of the unit team, handling crises professionally, and managing clerical functions like order entry.
Candidates must successfully complete an approved course for Licensed Nursing Assistants and possess a current Vermont LNA license along with current BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and previous healthcare experience, alongside effective communication and critical thinking skills.
Description This position is an excellent opportunity for newly licensed LNAs from River Valley Technical Center (RVTC) to experience multiple units. Successful completion of an approved course for Licensed Nursing Assistants Current Vermont LNA license Current BLS certification High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Previous health care experience (preferred) Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong critical thinking skills Experience with electronic medical record systems.
The base rate for this position is $20.40 - $24.75 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
