The Certified Medication Technician is responsible for setting up and accurately administering medications to residents, documenting administration, and performing minor treatments within their scope of practice. This role also involves supervising or providing direct patient care and acting as a first responder in emergencies under the supervision of a professional nurse.
Candidates must possess a current Missouri Certified Medication Technician certification and a valid driver's license, with an Insulin administration certification required for Village Assistant Living roles. Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, intermediate knowledge of medical terminology, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
