Clinical Lab Scientist

• Overview Performs Laboratory testing on patient and control samples.
• Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.
• This knowledge includes the use of specialized analytical instrumentation, clinical correlation of test results, quality control requirements, and preventative maintenance.
• Participates in the continuous quality improvement process through professional development, continuing education, data collection and evaluation and quality assurance.
• This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center.
• It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC- ARMC.
• The employee shall support AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.

Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience Earned a doctoral or bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution. Two years experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in an acute care laboratory preferred. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Current State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License American College of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) registration preferred
