This role involves providing professional nursing care to patients on assigned units according to established standards, utilizing principles of growth and development to assess and meet age-specific needs. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient assessments, practicing infection control, maintaining accurate documentation, and actively participating in discharge planning with patient education.
Candidates must possess a current license and registration in the state of Illinois along with current CPR certification, with clinical experience being preferred. Required abilities include initiating a nursing plan of care, demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills, and possessing a strong working knowledge of the Nursing Process and physical assessment skills.
Education and Experience: Licensed and current registration in the state of Illinois. Current CPR certification. Clinical experience preferred. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to initiate a nursing plan of care and identify appropriate nursing interventions and evaluations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Excellent working knowledge of the Nursing Process and strong nursing practice skills, including physical assessment. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical and technical skills specific to the assigned department Physical Requirements: Work is of medium to heavy demand. Routine lifting requirements of a minimum of more than 50 pounds. Stands and walks for most of the shift. Lifting, pushing, pulling, sitting, bending, and reaching required. May be exposed to infectious diseases. Works inside.
