The Direct Support Worker is responsible for assisting in coordinating residential services and providing compassionate care and close supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Key duties include assisting clients with daily living activities, planning meals, participating in recreation, and ensuring the upkeep of the home.
Candidates must possess either a Bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma with two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. A valid Medication Administration Certification is required, or the ability to obtain it immediately following hire, alongside a valid Connecticut driver's license with a clean driving record.
