Registered Nurses are responsible for sedating patients, monitoring overall patient status, assisting anesthesia, maintaining patient comfort during procedures, and assisting the Radiology Technician and physician who are scrubbed in. The RN utilizes the nursing process framework to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge.
Candidates must possess an Associate's in Nursing and a Bachelor's in Nursing (required within 5 years), along with a Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license. Required certifications include AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days and AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months, with specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years.
