The primary purpose is to perform radiograph procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed radiation for radiologic diagnosis. The role also involves assuming responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required.
Candidates should be graduates of an accredited AMA program for Radiologic Technology and must hold current ARRT registration or be registry eligible, along with required West Virginia State licensure. A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging is strongly preferred, and BLS certification is required.
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Rad Tech - Primary purpose is to perform radiograph procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging strongly preferred. Graduate of an accredited AMA program for Radiologic Technology.
1. Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or be registry eligible, and; 2. Licensed as required by the West Virginia State “Board” of Radiology
Previous work experience as Staff Radiologic Technologist desired but not essential.
Uses a variety of stationery and mobile radiation producing diagnostic equipment and mechanical accessories. Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials and devices. BLS required.
