The Registered Nurse acts as the leader of the health care team, providing professional nursing care by utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards and organizational policies. Essential duties involve demonstrating proficiency in leadership, executing the nursing process for individualized patient care plans, accurate documentation, achieving clinical outcomes, and ensuring patient safety and experience.
Candidates must have 1 year of recent full-time equivalent experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D) within the last three years, or successful completion of a KP L&D course or approved equivalent within the prior 12 months. Required credentials include a California Registered Nurse License, ACLS, NRP, BLS, and either the AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certificate at hire or within 12 months, along with the Kaiser PPSP for Nurses - Fetal Assessment Monitoring Certification at hire.
As the leader of the health care team, provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. Demonstrates performance consistent with the Medical Center Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan of the organization. Remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats co-workers, patients, families, and all members of the health care team with dignity and respect.
N/A Notes: If twelve (12) hour option chosen, shift will 8:00pm-8:30am, back up 8 hour shift will be 12:00 am to 8:30 am.
