• Summary: The Phone Triage Medical Assistant is responsible for coordinating nephrology patient care by triaging patient phone calls, relaying information in a timely manner by utilizing the

• Functions: Perform routine clinical tasks to support assigned provider(s). Answer phones, respond to voicemails and use the electronic health record to enter messages into the patients chart.
• Room patients including but not limited to: obtaining vital signs such as height, weight, and blood pressure, reviewing/updating patients medication list, and obtaining a urine specimen for urinalysis. Prepare electronic health records for the physician, including making sure all necessary records are accounted for before the visit (labs/radiology/testing). Process prescription refills and obtain prior authorization for medications. Maintain supplies, equipment, and stock exam rooms; practice HIPAA & OSHA compliance and safety standards. Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times. Perform miscellaneous job duties as requested. Travel to other

• QualificationsMinimum
• Requirements: Medical Assistant certificate or diploma required. Minimum two (2) years of medical assistant experience required. Knowledge and appropriate use of medical terminology required. Must have excellent communication and computer skills. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be task oriented, self-motivated, and able to work remotely if needed without supervision Experience with Telemedicine preferred. Prior experience working in an urgent care or specialty setting preferred.
