The Milieu Counselor assists nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic environment and provides individualized patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse to ensure patient safety and dignity. They also collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and co-facilitate select unit-based therapeutic groups.
A minimum requirement is an Associate's degree, though a Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with at least one year of prior experience in Psychology working with specialized populations like emotionally disturbed children and families. Candidates must possess skills in interdisciplinary collaboration, communication, group facilitation, and crisis management.

EDUCATION Associates degree required and Bachelor degree preferred EXPERIENCE Minimum one (1) year prior experience in Psychology working with specialized populations such as emotionally disturbed children and families.
