The Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant supports the Staff Occupational Therapist by providing direct patient care and assisting with patient-related activities as directed by the therapist and physician's treatment plan. Key duties include recording daily and weekly progress notes, training nursing staff, communicating patient progress, and participating in discharge planning.
Candidates must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state and proficient in computer skills, including data input into programs like Casamba and Point Click Care. The role requires the ability to interpret technical procedures and policy manuals, solve practical problems, and meet all state continuing education requirements.
