This role involves utilizing clinical skills to assess, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care activities within a cardiac rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities include following physician orders, providing patient education on lifestyle and medication, and maintaining accurate documentation and a sanitary work environment.
Candidates must possess an active LPN or EMT license or certificate and have a minimum of two years of experience performing clinical activities in a medical environment. A strong understanding of basic medical office procedures, cardiology terminology, and first aid measures is required.
A professional who utilizes clinical skills to assess, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care activities. Collaborate with other clinical associates and healthcare disciplines to meet individual needs using appropriate resources to ensure quality, safety, and cost-effective care. Nurtures a working relationship with physicians, clinical staff and other disciplines involved in the care of the patient/family.
Follows physicians’ orders for patient care and carries out duties in a timely manner Provides patient education for diet, exercise, medications, examination, test(s) or procedure(s) Completes and documents assessments/re-assessments within period established by policy/procedure Initiates, updates and communicates an appropriate multi-disciplinary plan of care based in identified problems and/or patient needs Evaluates patient response to care, revises plan of care as necessary and documents appropriately Maintains sanitary clinical work environment Ensures all pertinent records and results are obtained on each patient Adhere to OSHA PPE guidelines and safety program Ensures that physician is notified of all pertinent test results Refers patients to appropriate outside testing and appointments as instructed by the physician Maintains and re-stocks clinical supplies; notifies appropriate personnel of inventory for purchasing Performs any other duties deemed reasonable by the physician or supervisor Requirements: Active LPN or EMT licensing or certificate. Minimums 2 years of experience in performing clinical activities in a medical environment. Basic medical office procedures and medical terminology with concentration in cardiology; first aid measures; equipment, supplies and instruments used in a medical office.
