The Speech Language Pathologist treats referred residents by performing evaluations, setting goals, devising, and implementing evidence-based treatment programs based on diagnosis and condition. Essential duties include maintaining proper medical documentation, consulting with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring an 85% productivity level.
Candidates must possess the knowledge of speech therapy typically acquired through an accredited university program and hold a current New York State license to practice Speech Language Pathology. Required skills involve accurately gathering patient information, implementing procedures, documenting treatment effects, and communicating precisely with patients and families.
