The role involves providing total, comprehensive care to patients by systematically applying the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while adhering to institutional policies and patient safety principles. Responsibilities also include collaborating with the multidisciplinary health care team, prioritizing work assignments, providing necessary patient education, and effectively managing emergency situations.
Candidates must possess an active RN New Jersey Licensure and BLS certification, with ACLS preferred, and PALS required within six months of hire. Preferred qualifications include a BSN, 1-2 years of PACU and SDS experience in an acute care setting, and specialty certification.
