The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, gathering necessary data, and developing integrated treatment plans with specific goals and objectives. They must also demonstrate competency in using and maintaining profession-specific equipment while adhering to safety precautions.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an approved occupational therapy program and maintain current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification. A current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Florida is required, though a temporary permit is acceptable.
The hospital has 285 beds total and an inpatient rehab unit as well as outpatient across the street from the hospital. We need an occupational therapist that has interest in acute care and willing to help out on weekends and days that our census is high. Acute Care experience is highly desired.
