The Certified Medication Aide will administer medications to residents according to physician orders and established nursing standards, ensuring accurate preparation, administration, and documentation of oral and topical medications. Responsibilities also include maintaining a warm atmosphere, completing necessary reports, and ensuring proper medication labeling and reordering.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with active licensure as both a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Certified Medication Aide in the state. Fluency in English, knowledge of medical abbreviations, and the ability to accurately measure and report vital signs are mandatory, along with current CPR/BLS certification.
