The technician is responsible for preparing patients, assisting physicians during endoscopy procedures, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. Key duties also involve handling specimens and maintaining the sterility of instruments and supplies.
Candidates must possess a positive attitude, strong ethical character, and proficiency in communication and basic computer skills, along with a High School Diploma or GED and current BLS Certification. Knowledge of medical terminology is required, and Endoscopy Technician Certification is preferred.
