The Registered Nurse will perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments, developing and updating individualized plans of care, including discharge planning. Responsibilities also include providing safe, patient-centered care, carrying out physician orders accurately, administering medications safely, and supervising/delegating tasks to other team members.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing and be a Registered Nurse, with a requirement to obtain a BSN within five years of hire. Required qualifications include BLS/CPR certification and knowledge derived from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Our patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients with varied medical diagnoses including complications from diabetes, pneumonia, cellulitis, encephalopathy, and remote telemetry.
We also care for renal and urology surgery patients including those who have had a nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and those with continuous bladder irrigation (CBI).
Any patients admitted to the hospital who require peritoneal dialysis (PD) treatments, have PD care managed by a trained 14AB nurse.
This unit supports the growth and learning of new grads.
14AB provides the opportunity to master time management, and a variety of skills such as suprapubic catheter exchange, continuous bladder irrigation, vascath removal and peritoneal dialysis

Job Responsibilities
