The technologist operates X-ray equipment to create radiographs of designated body parts, ensuring quality control checks are performed and required documentation is maintained. Responsibilities also include translating procedures for patients, performing various exams according to standards, and promptly reporting any patient abnormalities to the Radiologist.
Candidates must possess a Vocational or Technical school Diploma and hold a current license to practice as a Radiology Technologist in New York State. Required credentials also include current ARRT Radiology registration and 1-3 years of technical experience.
