The Dental Hygienist performs dental measures to preserve teeth and prevent oral disease spread, including screenings, scaling, curettage, and applying sealants. Responsibilities also involve providing dental education, maintaining thorough clinical documentation, and referring patients to a licensed dentist annually.
Candidates must possess current knowledge and practical experience in dental hygiene, along with a public health orientation demonstrated through training or professional interest. Required certifications include current BCLS, Radiology certification, and specific Pennsylvania state clearances (Acts 34 and 73).
North Side Christian Health Center is hiring for a new Dental Hygienist. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for performing dental measures designed to preserve teeth and prevent the spread of oral disease, providing education services, and maintaining records of dental treatment direct supervision of a dentist.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE- Must have current knowledge of and practice experience in dental hygiene Public health orientation through training, experience, or professional interest Current BCLS certification Current Radiology certification Act 34 Child Clearance with Renewal, Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal, Act 73 FBI Clearance with Renewal. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/DEMANDS- Prolonged sitting and/or standing and moving about throughout the workday Potential exposure to biohazardous materials, including ionizing radiation Requires vision and hearing in normal range
