The role involves efficiently performing a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks for outpatients under the supervision of a licensed physician or Advanced Practice Provider. The Medical Assistant acts as a key team member, assisting the provider with outcome-based patient care using a team-based approach.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with BCLS certification from the American Heart Association due within three months of employment. Ideally, candidates should have one year of clinical experience using an EHR, though enrollment in medical field classes may substitute for experience.
