The assistant helps clinicians by co-leading therapy groups, performing case management activities, and implementing established behavioral management plans for clients with mental health or substance abuse issues. Responsibilities also include conducting safety checks, monitoring medication self-administration, and documenting client responses to the treatment plan.
A minimum requirement includes an Associate's degree in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counseling or a related field, though a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology is preferred. Preferred experience includes two years in a behavioral health or substance abuse setting, knowledge of the 12-Step Program, and possession of a valid driver's license and CPR/CPI/First Aid certifications.

Assists clinician(s) in providing coordinated services & case management for adult clients with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. All employees in this position are considered “Essential Employees” and may be required to provide mandated shift coverage for programming needs.
