The role involves providing appropriate patient nutritional care, which includes assessing nutritional status, formulating care plans, coordinating implementation, and evaluating effectiveness. Additionally, the dietitian will provide nutrition education to patients and families and assist in developing hospital formulary guidelines.
The primary requirement is being a Registered Dietitian, as mandated by CMS regulations. One year of healthcare experience is desirable for this position.
Provides appropriate patient nutritional care. Assesses the nutritional status of patients, formulates a care plan, coordinates its implementation, and evaluates its impact and effectiveness. Provides nutrition education to patients/families. Approves supplements as appropriate and assists in the development of a hospital formulary appropriate to the patient population.
Education and Work Experience Registered Dietitian Required (CMS requirement).
