The Licensed Practical Nurse performs nursing procedures and direct patient care under supervision, observing, recording, and reporting patient conditions, and administering prescribed treatments and medications. Responsibilities also include assisting providers with specialized procedures, teaching self-care techniques, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold current, unrestricted licensure with the State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners, along with required CPR/BLS certification and TB/Flu vaccination. The role requires frequent physical activity including sitting, standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, transferring patients, and constant visual acuity and manual dexterity for documentation and procedures.
Constant ability to read information, including close up; constant ability to use a computer screen; frequent use of good overall vision, including color perception.
