The Speech Language Pathologist will diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all age groups by conducting thorough evaluations and designing individualized treatment plans. Essential functions include assessing referrals, administering prescribed treatments, designing rehabilitative programs, and educating patients and families on continuation procedures.
Candidates must be licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice, with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred at hire and required within one year. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required within a specified timeframe, and while years of experience in an equivalent setting is preferred, general computer skills and strong analytical and interpersonal abilities are necessary.
