The Physical Therapist Assistant supports the Staff Therapist by providing direct patient care and assisting with patient-related activities as directed by the Physical Therapist and physician treatment plan. Key duties include recording daily treatment notes, participating in conferences, and instructing families or nursing staff on maintenance programs for discharge preparation.
Candidates must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state and proficient in computer skills, including data input into programs like Casamba and Point Click Care. The role requires the ability to interpret technical procedures and policy manuals, along with physical stamina for frequent standing, walking, and exerting significant force to move objects.
