The RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities through assessment, and subsequently planning and delegating care based on those identified needs. The role also involves evaluating patient responses to care and ensuring progress toward expected outcomes, holding accountability for patient care results during the assigned shift.
Candidates must be a graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and possess current Alabama licensure, although experience is preferred and new graduates are accepted. Required certifications include BLS before orientation conclusion and ACLS within one year of hire.
Overview The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure.
