The surgeon will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with joint disorders, focusing on developing individualized treatment plans using operative and non-operative approaches. Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree, completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency, and active medical licensure in Oregon. Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction or Joint Replacement is preferred.
Job Title: Joint Orthopedic Surgeon (MD/DO)
We are seeking a skilled Joint Orthopedic Surgeon to provide specialized care for patients with degenerative, traumatic, and inflammatory joint conditions. The surgeon will focus on hip and knee reconstruction and replacement, delivering high-quality surgical and non-surgical care in a patient-centered, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with joint disorders, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and joint injuries. Develop individualized treatment plans using both operative and non-operative approaches. Perform joint preservation procedures and total or partial joint replacement surgeries, primarily involving the hip and knee. Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and coordination of rehabilitation services. Collaborate with physical therapists, primary care providers, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes. Manage complications and revision cases as appropriate. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery. Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction or Joint Replacement preferred. Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery. Active medical license to practice in the state of employment. Strong surgical expertise, clinical judgment, and communication skills. Work Environment: Hospital, surgical center, and outpatient clinic settings. Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment with opportunities for professional growth. Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
