The physician will serve as a Primary Care Provider, managing immediate medical needs, conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and educating patients. They will also collaborate with clinical staff and consult with the Clinical Director.
Candidates must hold a current California medical license, DEA license, and CPR certification. Board certification or eligibility in Family Practice or Internal Medicine is required, along with proficiency in English and preferably medical Spanish.
Seeking an experienced Family or Internal Physician who will provide services to underserved communities. This position provides multi-generational care in an environment that promotes excellent support services including dental care, mental health, and social work support. A successful candidate will be responsible for providing the full range of comprehensive outpatient and family practice medical care including direct patient care, multidisciplinary interaction with support services, and other clinical and administrative responsibilities. Job Duties: The physician acts as the Primary Care Provider (PCP) who has been assigned to the patient. Take care of the patient’s immediate medical needs. Undertake medical evaluation, including history and physical examination, laboratory, X-ray, referrals, or other diagnostic studies. Evaluate the patient and develop a problem list. Develop treatment objectives and plans. Initiate treatment orders and procedures. Educate and counsel patients to promote positive health behaviors and disease prevention. Work closely with clinical staff in coordinating and obtaining needed services for patients and families. Consult with the Clinical Director, as necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Must have a current license to practice medicine in the State of California. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine. Must have a current DEA License. Proficient in English and medical Spanish, preferred. Must possess a current CPR Certification. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families. Experience working with Electronic Medical Records.
