The technician independently performs tasks related to filling medication orders, maintaining both manual and computer-based records, and preparing and compounding medications using appropriate techniques. Responsibilities also include supplying controlled substances with accurate records, maintaining inventories, and supplying medications to assigned areas with appropriate billing.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and be registered with the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy, with Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred (or obtained within 6 months if not certified). A minimum of one year of Pharmacy Tech experience or completion of a formal training program is required, along with passing a basic pharmaceutical math calculation assessment.
Under pharmacist supervision, independently performs tasks related to the filling of medication orders, maintains both manual and computer based records, prepares and compounds medications using appropriate technique, supplies controlled substances and maintains accurate records of disposition, maintains inventories in the pharmacy work areas; supplies medications and stock to assigned areas and appropriately bills for items supplied.
Schedule: 4-10 hour shifts
30p with a rotating 2nd shift working 12:30p-11p.
