The PCT will work under limited supervision to assist patients with daily activities, observe progress, and report findings to nursing or medical staff. Duties also include obtaining vital signs, collecting specimens, performing basic transport, measuring intake/output, and assisting with treatments like feeding tube and catheter administration.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and must have completed CNA or PCT certification, or be in the senior year of nursing school with less than one semester remaining. Active certification within the State of Texas and BLS certification within 14 days of hire are mandatory.
